To assist health care providers, including community pharmacy staff and community care workers in getting their COVID-19 vaccine, they now have the opportunity to book their vaccination appointments at a vaccination center or community pharmacy through the NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Service. ,
Staff can book online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination.
Staff should try online booking first, but if this is not possible, they can call 119 toll-free from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As part of the booking process, eligible staff must declare that they are a health or social worker, և they will be required to identify և written permission when they visit their vaccination appointment. This includes a work photographic ID card, a power of attorney signed by their employer, or a salary certificate dated in the last 3 months. In the event that a working photo ID is not available, alternative photo identification is required to ensure verification.
The staff will be able to set the fixed date in this way until February 28, 2021.
More information is available in the NHS England և NHS Improvement letter published yesterday.
In this week’s Primary Care Newsletter, NHS England և NHS Improvement (NHSE & I) shared a letter with all primary care contractors, including community pharmacy contractors, encouraging participation in staffing coronavirus vaccinations.
CCGs or regional teams ask contractors about the proportion of frontline workers who received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. This is part of the NHSE & I ‘s efforts to ensure that those in the first four primary groups are vaccinated by mid-February.
BreakingNationalNews encourages contractors to complete these forms and then return when they can to help ensure that pharmacy staff have been vaccinated or vaccinated. This should also help identify staff members who are still being vaccinated.
In many cases, LPCs are notified in advance that the documents are being sent to contractors և they may be able to assist with any local inquiries.
NHSE & I would like to thank all those who helped provide this information
