The prequel “Mad Max” shot in Outback will be released in 2023

SYDNEY (AP) – Anya Taylor և The prelude to the Chris Hemsworth film “Mad Max” will be shot in Australia, officials said on Monday.

“Furiosa” is scheduled to be released in mid-2023 and is expected to be the largest film ever made in Australia.

Hemsworth said that getting involved in such a project in his homeland has become a reality.

“This will be my fourth or fifth film here in Australia,” said the Thor star in Sydney.

“It really’s the biggest moment I’ve ever done, because I grew up watching it, it’s so symbolic,” Hemsworth said.

“It is a great honor. “A lot of pressure, but a lot of pressure, which is definitely a stimulus,” he added.

The cast and crew will travel to New South Wales, including the mining town of Broken Hill, which has traditionally been home to post-apocalyptic movie landscapes.

The latest film in the franchise – “Mad Max. “Fury Road”, released in 2015, was mainly filmed in Namibia as the seasonal rain left the Outback New South Wales unusually green.

The main character in the “Queen Gambit” miniseries, Taylor-oy, will star in the film as a younger version of Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in 2015.

Writer-director George Vor Miller, who co-founded the Mad Max franchise with Byron Kennedy and starring Mel Gibson in 1979, said he was grateful to have the film made in his home country thanks to financial support from the state and federal governments. :

“In England, I had friends who were making films that were stopped two or three times,” said Miller, referring to the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Miller said he was inspired by the role Australian film played in overcoming the epidemic.

Australia has been dubbed the “Aussiewood” in the media as a number of actors have left Los Angeles for Sydney Freedoms, with Australia relatively successful in halting the COVID-19 community transfer.
