Rantanen twice defeated Avalanche Sharks 4-0

SAN JOSE, California. (AP) – Colorado Avalanche beat San Jose Sharks 4-0 on Wednesday night. Mikko Rantanen scored twice and provided two assists.

Philip Grubauer made 26 saves for the 14th closing of his career, helping the Snowdrift back into a 6-2 defeat in San Jose on Monday night.

Gabriel Landescog added one goal and three assists for Colorado, which was 3: On his way to 1 point, he took three places with Minnesota for the third place in the Western Division.

“Obviously we were not happy with one game (Monday) of our game, we wanted to go back, we felt we answered, we played our best game,” Landescog said.

In March, One ounce blocked San Jose’s 34 shots, especially in the first two periods, conceding just one goal. But the “Sharks” came out of the score 38-26 and were bottled after they scored six goals in the return games.

“When you play a team that is so dangerous there, you have to take them out of our ‘D’ zone, put them in their ‘D’ zone, I don’t think we did that enough.” Said Brent Burns.

Rantanen scored an unbeaten draw in the second half with a score of 5:36 when he passed to Nathan McKinnon and hit Johns once inside the right goal.

Samuel Ira gave Colorado a breathing room about six minutes after the third, slapping the beat ounce to the side of the glove, making it 2-0.

The game turned out to be ugly eight minutes after the third, when San Jose player Joachim Blitchfeld was awarded a penalty after McCinnon’s header. Landescog took advantage of the goal shortly after, և it is possible that Blitchfeld will be disqualified.

“I hope the league will look into it and impose some fines for it,” Rantanen said.

Rantanen added his team’s leading 10th goal, 4-0.

Way to recovery

Shark Center Thomas Hertl has had symptoms since coming out of COVID-19, but coach Bob Bagner told reporters that Hertl seems to be doing better. Hertl was listed in the COVID-19 list on February 24, the earliest he could return to Anaheim on March 12.

Short hand “D”

Colorado played without defenders Kyle Makari և Bo Biram, who both missed their second consecutive game due to a head injury. Makar is more likely to return on Friday against Anaheim.

HEAT

After 10 goalless games in a row, Landescog has scored in three consecutive games.

“You start playing five or six games, it gets a little mental,” he said. “It was just nice to end that series, kind of flip through the page.”
