Leicester beat Burnley 1-1 in the Premier League over injuries

BURNLEY, England (AP) – Leicester’s bid to qualify for the Champions League was further unsuccessful after threatening to knock out Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday (1: 1).

Brendan Rodgers’ injured team recovered after conceding a goal from Mathieu Vidra in the fourth minute, and Kelechi Iheanacho’s volley in the 34th minute scored a point at Turf Moor.

However, more points coming from Arsenal3. Three days after the 1-0 defeat, even more doors open for Leicester’s top four rivals with a quarter of the season left.

Leicester are third, five points ahead of West Ham and six points behind fifth-placed Chelsea, who have played more games.

Rogers’ injury list is growing. Harvey Barnes is the latest player to join James Ames Madison, James Ames Just Astin and Jon Ony Evans.

This forced the Leicester manager to form a squad for the game against Burnley, and one of the alerted wingers, Hamza Chuduri, was to blame for Burnley’s goal.

Choudhury’s weak pass was captured by Vydra, who turned over Wilfred Ndid and hit high next to Casper Schmeichel.

Iheanacho equalized as he turned his crossbar, encountering Ndidi’s forward pass with a volley that went past Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope, whose position was questionable.

Youri Tielemans hit the post in the final minutes of Leicester, but Burnley put more pressure on Schmeichel to make a superb save to keep the headers of James Tarkovsky and Chris Wood.

At the end of last season, Leicester also struggled with injuries, dropping out of the Champions League in the final weeks of the season with just two wins in their last nine games.
