It promotes open parent-child communication while helping children cope with peer pressure, both directly and indirectly. Research shows that when a child believes that he or she can withstand peer pressure, he or she is much more likely to do so, and later, he or she is more likely to talk to his or her parents about these episodes of peer pressure when they occur. On the other hand, children who do not feel they can withstand peer pressure are less likely to talk to their parents about the things they do outside the home.

Be special in your praise.
General praises, such as “Good job.” It is useless when it comes to increasing children’s self-employment, because it does not make real sense.
