“Hertan” 3: Beat Leverkusen 0-0 to get out of the Bundesliga corner

BERLIN (AP) – Hertha Berlin were knocked out of the Bundesliga with a 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday, which could have dealt a final blow to coach Peter Bosz’s hopes of retaining his job.

Bose, who has led Leverkusen since January 2019, has seen his side take just four wins from 17 games this year: 10 defeats, including 10 defeats, including losses that knocked Leverkusen out of the Europa League and German Cup. :

The latest defeat left Leverkusen sixth in the Bundesliga, seven points behind Eintracht Frankfurt in the last qualifying round of the Champions League.

Hertha was under pressure for various reasons, especially in the early game after the victory of “Mainz” over “Hoffenheim” (2: 1). It was Mainz’s fifth victory in nine games, taking Bo Swenson out of the relegation zone.

Hertha started brilliantly, և Dodi Lukebacchio cut the ball for Deyovaisio Zeefuik to open the scoring in the fourth minute with a penalty kick from the penalty spot, coming out of the far post.

Lerkuzen worked hard to equalize as Hertha were behind and Patrick Schick missed a good opportunity for the visitors.

Then, Mateo Guenduzi won the ball from Charles Aranguiz, and Lucas Tusart made a brilliant pass from the right for Lucebaccio. He sent the ball to Mateus Kunya before the square. The Brazilian shrugged and pushed back Lenart Grill, who was 26th in Leverkusen.

Hertha’s third came another counterattack nine minutes later when Guendouzi և Jhon Cordoba was blocked before the latter turned around and hit Grill’s feet. Cunha, ef efeuik ուկ Lukebakio were involved.

At the beginning of the second half, Hertha’s goalpost was playing again, but Lucebakio’s score was ruled out by VAR, as Cordoba used his hand to control the ball.

The game continued in the same direction when Leverkusen tried to make progress and Hertha sat back to hit the break.

Before Lukebaccio returned the blow, Grill denied Kunya one by one. Leverkusen has never been so close.

Hertha finished 14th in the group of 18 teams, one point ahead of Mainz, one point behind Cologne, who fell to the relegation-promotion play-off position.

Freiburg hosted Augsburg later on Sunday.
