In Game 2 of the NBA’s play-in tournament, the No. 7 Boston Celtics take on the No. 8 Washington Wizards at the TD Garden Tuesday night. The winner moves on to face the No. 2 Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs as the East’s seventh seed. The loser will face Indiana Pacers to determine the No. 8 seed.
The Celtics (36-36) had a disappointing season after reaching the Eastern Conference finals last year. While they haven’t earned a traditional playoff spot yet, they’ll have a chance to lock up their seventh straight postseason berth with a win against Washington. Early on, it is the Celtics who have control of this one as Boston holds a slim lead over Washington after 12 minutes of play.

The Wizards (34-38), meanwhile, are trying to get back into the playoffs for the first time since 2018. Bradley Beal will suit up, but admits he won’t be 100 percent as he’s dealing with a hamstring injury.
