Archbishop. Harry, Megan did not marry before Windsor’s service

LONDON (AP) – The Archbishop of Canterbury has confirmed that he legally married Prince Harry և Megan Markley at Windsor Castle in May 2018, despite the couple claiming they had another private ceremony three days ago.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month, Megan said, “We got married three days before our wedding.”

“We called the archbishop, we just said, ‘Here is this thing, this scene is for the world, but we want our union to be within us,'” he said. “So the oaths we have taken in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury.”

Just Astin Welby said the couple got married legally in the castle on May 19, 2018, but will not reveal what happened before that private meeting.

“I signed the marriage certificate, which is a legal document. I would have committed a serious crime if I had signed it knowing that it was fake,” said Welby, the pastor of the Church of England.

“I will not say what happened during any other meeting,” Welby told Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper. He said that “before the wedding he had a number of personal pastoral meetings with the duke and duchess.”

In an interview with Winfrey, Megan claims that she was racist and sympathetic to the royal family and the press as a working member of the royal family during her years.

In early 2020, Megan and Harry announced that they were relinquishing their royal duties and moving to North America, citing the intolerable incursions and racist treatment of the British media.
